Introduction

There are one or two ideas where it would be useful to have the wiki updated by an automated process, for examples by the IRC bot. This page discusses how to insert data directly into the database backend of MediaWiki without totally bollocksing it up! This is currently a work in progress. The database structure is documented here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/41/Mediawiki-database-schema.png.
