Problems: Code will function in Velleman K8048 PIC Development Board but not in our breadboard.

The 'Quiz Master' is simply that. A piece of hardware for the average pub quiz. It features 4 player paddles and control kit featuring reset. The interesting bit, being that we are controlling it with a PIC and not a network of 8 transistors. A lot harder to design and build, but very easy to redesign and scale for more players, wireless paddles, score keeping, et cetera.

4 x LED - CJ58N, 2mA 3mm SB Red LED, £0.31 each

10 x 10K ohm resistor - N63BH, E3 Resistor Pack (16 values x 30) £6.51 per kit

1 x 16F628 Pic microprocessor - RF03D, PIC16F628-04/P, £3.12 each

1 x PCB mounting triple AA battery holder - CL18U, PCB Mtg 3AA Batt Box, £0.49 each

3 x alkaline (1.5v) AA battery

1 x piece of bread board - AG09K, AD101 Plugblock, £3.34 each

Wire, preferably in two colours of your choosing

Solder

All of the above part numbers are Maplins. Total kit cost = £18.90, plus batteries, wire and solder. Yes we aware that we can buy these components MUCH cheaper elsewhere but time was of the essence.
